Burn Permits
Burn Permits are available at the Town Recycling Center (N7750 Hwy 65) during open hours (year round Saturdays 8am-4pm and 5pm - 8pm Summer Wednesdays). You may also get a burn permit from a town official outside of those hours.
Burn permits are good for the entire calendar year. Please be advised that once you receive your burn permit, you will need to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department both BEFORE the burn is started and when the burn is COMPLETED. Residents near Pierce/St. Croix County border should also inform the St. Croix County Communication Center. The appropriate phone numbers will be listed on the burn permit.
The administrative rules of the State of Wisconsin, DNR Air Management and Solid Waste Management Programs, and River Falls Town Code allow you to burn: brush, clean wood, grass, dry leaves, or paper.

*Oily substances, such as oily or greasy rags, oil filters, etc.
*Asphalt, such as asphalt shingles or tar paper
*Plastics of any kind, including plastic bottles and plastic bags
*Wood products that are treated or painted
*Garbage
*Rubber tires
*Insecticide, pesticide and paint containers
*Any material that can be recycled
